For those of you who live under a rock, this is Lindsey Lomis, an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Nashville.

I first came across this incredibly talented girl 2 years ago (yes, pre-pandemic) before Our Era was even a thought in my mind. I loved everything she was doing so when Our Era was finally thinking about our first issue I knew she HAD to be on the first cover. I even remember shoving my phone in Lily, our Managing editor’s face while we were scarfing down our meatballs and mac and cheese at the Whole Foods Hot food bar in Union Square. She was hooked as well.

Flash forward a year and Lindsey is now signed to Warner Records and Altadena, has sung with incredible artists like Jojo, Brandi Carlile, and Bruno Major. She is now on her second tour and Lily and I had the opportunity to see her perform at the Bowery Ballroom and chat with her after.

Lindsey’s setlist consisted of a bunch of her new unreleased songs that we are BEGGING to be released as soon as possible. I have to admit the minute she started playing her first hit, Simple Love I SCREAMED.

Since the last time, we spoke with Lindsey so much has happened. After months of writing sessions and a fun trip to LA, she went on a tour with Wild Rivers. “the last tour with wild rivers was just me in my guitar. “ She tells me. “And as I really got to like test out how people reacted to that, which is how I always want my songs to be able to be broken down to. But then this tour has been like, okay. We can have fun too. We can have it be a show and have people get involved and have participation. And so there's a lot of just looking at writing differently, and thinking: people can sing along in this part, or we can do something with a band for this part. And I had never really thought like that before. Cause I'd never played with a band. It’s been an awesome experience”

Lindsey’s band consists of the ever so talented Harrison Fink on the keys, and badass Megan Coleman on drums. Both are awesome musicians and are pursuing music on their own as well. The way they all interact with each other and close they all are is so wonderful to see.

We are so unbelievably proud of Lindsey and how far she has come and we CANNOT wait to see everything coming her way.

xoxo,

Lucy
