Rylee Arnold’s rise to fame has been nothing short of extraordinary, driven by her standout performances on Dancing with the Stars and the powerful connection she shares with her sisters. Growing up in a family of dancers, Rylee has gracefully stepped into the spotlight, capturing hearts with her talent, determination, and the close-knit bond that defines her journey.
As a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars, Rylee has quickly made a name for herself with her skillful routines and engaging stage presence. Off the dance floor, she has cultivated a loyal following on social media, where she shares her passion for dance, her journey with Type 1 diabetes, and her vibrant personality. I had the chance to sit down with Rylee post-rehearsal last week to talk about the season, her rise to fame, and what it’s like being a pro on DWTS.
Throughout our conversation, Rylee emphasized on her deep bond with her sisters and how they collaborate to create content together. From dance routines to personal milestones, Rylee and her sisters have shared many important life moments online, building a strong connection with their audience. "We’ve had so many fun memories making YouTube videos," Rylee recalled with a smile. "There have been huge moments in our lives that we’ve shared on YouTube, like when my sisters announced their pregnancies, engagements, and weddings. Those memories are really special to us." But it’s not just the big events that stand out to Rylee—she cherishes the simple, everyday moments with her family just as much. "Anytime we spend together is fun, even if it’s just Sunday dinner. I’m so lucky to be so close to my sisters," she added.
Sharing her life with an audience has been a deeply rewarding experience for Rylee, allowing the dancer to build a strong community of fans who support and admire her journey. “It’s amazing to feel that connection with people who watch my videos or follow me on social media. It makes me feel like we’re all part of this big family,” she explained. For Rylee, it’s not just about fame or recognition; it’s about creating meaningful relationships with her audience.
One of the most impactful experiences for her has been touring with the Dancing with The Stars cast and meeting fans in person. "The tour was incredible. I remember being recognized in public for the first time, and it was such a surreal moment. Meeting fans who have followed my journey was so humbling and reminded me why I love what I do," she shared. These moments of recognition, whether online or in real life, continue to drive Rylee’s passion for connecting with her community.
As her online presence grows, Rylee has become increasingly mindful of the need to balance the demands of social media with her mental well-being. "It’s easy to get caught up in feeling like you have to post all the time or constantly keep up with what everyone else is doing," she said. But for Rylee, the key is to prioritize enjoyment over obligation. "I remind myself that social media is supposed to be fun. If it starts feeling like a chore, I step back. My mental health comes first." Rylee’s approach to managing the pressures of social media involves knowing when to take a break. “Sometimes, stepping back is the best thing you can do for yourself,” she explained. By focusing on self-care and giving herself permission to unplug, Rylee ensures that her online presence remains a positive and healthy space for both her and her followers.
Rylee’s transition from Utah to Los Angeles has been an exciting, yet daunting chapter in her life. Growing up in the quiet, family-oriented atmosphere of Utah, the fast-paced lifestyle of LA presented some cultural differences that required adjustment. “LA is definitely different from Utah! It’s fast-paced, and there’s always something happening, which is great for my career but can be overwhelming at times,” Rylee admitted.
Despite the challenges, Rylee has grown to love LA’s vibrant culture. "I love the opportunities here, the energy, and how there’s always something creative going on. It pushes me to stay on top of my game," she said. However, balancing the hustle of everyday life in LA with her personal values remains a delicate act. "I miss the slower pace of Utah sometimes, but I’ve learned how to find balance and make sure I stay grounded," Rylee added.
A typical day in Rylee Arnold’s life is nothing short of busy, filled with rehearsals, self-care, and preparation for performances. Her mornings often start with early rehearsals for Dancing with the Stars, where she spends hours perfecting her routines. “Rehearsals are intense, but it’s all worth it when you get to perform live,” Rylee said.
After rehearsals, Rylee makes time for self-care, whether it’s a quick workout, catching up on some downtime, or spending time with her family. “It’s important to take care of yourself, especially when you’re working so hard. I try to balance everything as best as I can,” she explained. Evenings often involve more practice or content creation for her social media channels, but Rylee always makes sure to carve out moments of personal time to recharge and unwind.
One of the more unique aspects of this season has been Rylee’s partnership with olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik. Despite their differing backgrounds, they have formed a deep connection and affectionately refer to themselves as “star-crossed besties.” “It’s been amazing!” Rylee tells me. “Stephen works so hard, sometimes I have to remind him to take a break,” Rylee shared with a laugh. The gymnast's background has translated into an impressive work ethic on the dance floor. “He knows what it takes to succeed, and he brings that same perseverance to dance, which makes teaching him easier.”
Choreographing and teaching her own dances have been new challenges for Rylee, but she’s embraced them. “It was definitely hard at first. Your mind always has to be thinking about it, and sometimes you want to unplug but can’t,” she said. Balancing the choreography and teaching it to Stephen has its tricky moments, but Rylee has found a rhythm that works for both of them. “Once you figure out what works for you, it’s great,” she added.
Looking ahead, Rylee’s goals are ambitious. "I’d love to win Dancing with the Stars one day," she revealed, her eyes lighting up with excitement. But more than just the pursuit of trophies, Rylee’s focus remains on continuing to grow as a dancer and performer. For young dancers aspiring to follow in her footsteps, Rylee’s advice is simple yet powerful: “Believe in yourself. There will always be moments of doubt, but never compare your journey to anyone else’s. Everyone’s path is different, and the key is to stay true to who you are.”
Rylee Arnold’s journey, rooted in family, passion, and perseverance, is a testament to what can be achieved when love and support form the foundation of success. Her ability to connect with her audience, manage the pressures of social media, and balance her life in LA while pursuing her dreams shows a remarkable level of maturity and wisdom. As Rylee continues to rise, she remains focused on staying true to herself, always holding onto the lessons she’s learned along the way. "At the end of the day, it’s about being happy and doing what you love," she reflected. And with that positive outlook, Rylee is set to inspire not only her fans but anyone who dreams of dancing through life with purpose and joy.
