Red Bull Origin Takes Over Venice Beach: A Skateboarding Spectacle Uniting Generations

Over the first weekend of June, Venice Beach transformed into the epicenter of skateboarding culture as Red Bull Origin took over, drawing in crowds in So Cal and uniting the generations of skating in a celebration of shared passion around the art and community of the sport. 

The competition was a memorable one, marked by high energy, remarkable talent, and the collective spirit of the skate community. The centerpiece of the event was the incredible Bowl Jam, presented by none other than the legendary Tony Alva. We saw numerous skaters rise to the occasion, each attempting to outdo the last with increasingly daring rides.

Skaters were tasked with performing tricks over a truck, showcasing their versatility and creativity. This part of the competition highlighted the technical skills and adaptability required in modern skateboarding, pushing participants to impress.

The event was more than just a series of competitions; it was a convergence of the skateboarding and art communities. Icons such as Ryan Sheckler and more were present, sharing their favorite moments and celebrating the culture they helped shape.
