What I Wear in A Week

Dressing up everyday is hard. It’s easy to throw on the sweats and submerge yourself in the sweet effortless comfort. But there is something magical about feeling good when you look good. In the beginning of the school year I set out to dress cute every single day and really test if dressing up really does make you feel better. I mean if you look your best you must feel your best, right? To no surprise it in fact did! Choosing out an outfit should be a sport, sore arms from unzipping, profusely sweating with stress, the overwhelming weight of unworn clothes toppling the floor. I have mastered it, finding the perfect fit and I am here to help and inspire you. Let me take you through this week's fashion forward fits compliments to some of my favorite styling so far.

Day one of my style session I have for you my beige n beach look. I bought the top at a local goodwill and altered the bust to fit my body a better and I also wanted to make it a little tighter and fit more snug. To pair, I wore some mid thigh length jeans which were previously owned by my mother in highschool. I did have to alter these but easy easy fix. Compliments to Levi jeans. For accessories I threw on some super FBI type beat black jet shades and some adorable neon orange butterfly clips to tie into the morange in my shirt.

Day two was definitely a style jump for me. I recently purchased a much needed pleated white skirt and have been loving every second I spend in it. For this look I paired an old glothic like band t shirt that I thrifted with the white pleated skirt and for accessories I added my chunky zebra clogs I ordered off Depop and some thick shiny mini silver hoops. This look was not at all in my style range but I took inspiration from a tik tok I saw where this girl wore a white preppy skirt and a black band t shirt with some heavy heavy chains. I absolutely loved the mall goth meets cheerleader contrast so this outfit is my take on the concept.

Day three was more of a washboard for me. Pretty light and fun. I styled my ole Levi straight leg pants which I thrifted with a white vintage sweater from my grandma's closet. Literally. I was getting a lot of Sunday on the beach vibes with this outfit, with the comfortable sweater and cozy jeans, nothing could go wrong.

Day four, honestly a classic Chandler fit in my opinion. I am absolutely obsessed with the lingerie trend and incorporating pjs into every day fits. On that note, I styled a cropped cheetah lingerie top that I recently thrifted with some straight leg white wash Levi’s and for accessories I threw on a glossy black belt and some cutesy pink puff butterfly clips. This look is very very easy to match, pretty much goes for every time of day. I could hit the town in this look or just lay low in my room. Nevertheless timeless.

Day five, roar. This look really does demonstrate my passion fruit for cheetah print, I know I need to move on. Beige is the new black people, don’t get it twisted. For this look I paired my skinny queen mini cheetah dress with a big bulky Swede Calvin Klein jacket my dad gave me and for accessories I stuck with some simple gold jewelry. I actually wore this outfit to home Depop, might have not been the most appropriate but hell I looked damn good strutting down past those pvc pipes.

Day six, pretty casual pretty county as well. So I do have a kink for very tacky tank tops for example this one, my grandma was dropping off some old clothes yet again and I knew when I saw this top that this was it. This was it. So for this outfit I styled this brown bedazzled cross tank with a denim mini skirt which I typically hate wearing but I thought the black garment belt would flatter my waist more. My accessories were light today, only a small silver pendant necklace for today.

Day 7, ooooooooouuuuuu wow this fit in C.O.M.F.O.R.T.A.B.L.E. Love love love this look, so I went to Texas thrift and bought a bunch of clothes. Sad side note: all the dressing rooms were closed so I kinda just had to eye ball everything I bought and prayed that it would fit. Continuing, I found this gem in the corner of the lingerie sections and I swear my heart skipped a couple of beats when I held her up to the light. This plum purple midi slip dress was exactly what I needed for a hot summer sweat away. The dress also has this amazing lace detailing on the bust and a few layers on the bottom. I styled this dress with some classic jelly hello kitty crocs that I purchased on Amazon for my birthday and a petit lavender bucket hat.

To put an end to my fashion week, I just want to remind you that style is completely opinion based. Whether you feel like you have good style or not is completely up to you. Keeping that in mind, always wear the clothes that YOU want. Don’t dress for anyone else but yourself.
