Emyrson Flora, Paige Fish and Kenedi Anderson on friendship, songwriting and their plans for the future

Every year, people from all over the world come together to audition for the biggest singing reality show in the world, American Idol. 16 year old Paige Fish, 17 year old Emyrson Flora, and 18 year old Kenedi Anderson all met on the show last season. The girls all immediately bonded over their love of music. “It’s really rare to find people in your day to day life who love music as much as you” Anderson tells me. The girls spent weeks together doing school, playing music, and getting closer as friends. Being on such a competitive show as young girls can be stressful but Fish, Anderson and Flora were grateful to have each other  “I just kind of felt home for the first time when I was with Kenedi and Paige.” Said Emyrson.

Once you gain public recognition for your art, people tend to treat you differently. The girls go on to tell me about what coming home and going back to “normal life” was like. “I got really sad after Idol because I was so used to it and when I got home everything was just so different.” Fish tells me. Kenedi and Emyrson agreed.

The girls reunited for the first time since the show last Thursday. Paige, born and raised in Utah invited both Emyrson and Kenedi out to perform at the Velour in Downtown Provo. The girls performed an incredible set including songs like Angels Like you, Ceilings, and some originals. The crowd fell in love with the girls immediately having an almost sold out show.

Emyrson, Paige and Kenedi are undoubtedly some of the most talented musicians of their generation and when asked about what they’re excited for in the future, the girls answered promptly. “I’m really excited to actually release music. I’ve been writing some of my favorite songs I’ve ever done and I can’t wait to share them with the world.” Kenedi tells me. Emyrson has been recording music, writing songs, and meeting with different people to build her network and Paige has been releasing some beautiful originals as well.

The Our Era team is incredibly impressed with the girls and we can’t wait to see what’s next for them.
