Role Model at The Bottom Lounge in Chicago

Chicago welcomed Role Model at an intimate bar-venue to kick off the week of festivities in Lollapalooza’s host city.

The awaiting crowd was buzzing with excitement and energy from the moment they filled the venue. The fans with their hands at the barricade spent the day outside braving the Midwest heat and unexpected rainstorm for the opportunity to experience the front row.

The already vocal crowd roared as Role Model took the stage. The singer brought the audience on an emotional journey largely driven by his recently released, debut album, Rx

Whether sitting down at the edge of the stage and sharing an intimate moment with the crowd while singing the album namesake, “rx,” or commanding the crowd to jump and dance during the singer’s most-streamed song, “blind,” Role Model captivated the attention of his audience throughout his entire 60-minute performance.

The singer paused mid-set to share with the crowd that “no one believes [him] when [he] say[s] that Chicago is [his] favorite f***ing city to perform in“ reiterating the sentiment by questioning those who doubt him because “why would [he] make that up?”

After his Wednesday night performance at the Bottom Lounge, the singer performed a second set at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Thursday and is set to continue touring around North America and Europe through the duration of the Summer and early Fall.
