Tastes Like Heaven
When I say Heaven I mean HEAVEN.
Marc Jacobs' recently released Heaven Campaign is asstounding. Everything they are aiming for perfectly targets punk and flowery sub cultures that are tending to surface trendy fashion.
This collection has edge and dazzle, just an overall cool girl look. Not in a popular way but in a more undertone statement style that plays with childlike embellishments and candy popping details. My most favroite pieces featured being the lavender lips jean jacket and skirt set, giving me the most modernized version of Cher’s plaid suit.
Overall, I am feeling a lot of lazy confortable yet on time styles being developed here. Taking inspiration from teen trending brands like Unif with the loose fitting sneed sweater with fuzzy exterior knitted fur.
Props to them for bulky over laid jewelry complementing a more dream like street style fairy remasade. I also loved how this collection focused on dramatic yet underwhelming details of color. I kept seeing a lot of flavorful purples and skimmery glitter colora of pink. It adds this very immature technique to it that just applies to teenagers especially to ones who are trying to explore new realms of fashion.
Each kit in the lookbook almost always has some sort of structure to it. Whether that be by layering fishnets or statement belts and dangling charm chains. The collection is absolutely to die for, and when you do, pray you end back in Heaven. Get it.
